Why competly.co

Price monitoring software built to be right before it is fast, and cheap because it is shared.

One page, one fetch, every customer served

Two shops watching the same product on the same competitor are watching one page. We read it once and serve both. Competitor prices are shared; your catalog, your prices and what you watch stay private.

Exact product matching, or none at all

A page is matched by barcode, your keywords or its exact name, and refused when the size, count, brand or a word you excluded says otherwise. 256 GB never matches 512 GB.

Competitor pages found the way a shopper would

Each storefront is searched in order, and the method that worked is remembered for the next product.

  1. Pinned pageno match

A page somebody set by hand is tried first, and ends the search.

  2. Shop search by barcodeno match

The competitor's own search, asked for the product's barcode.

  3. Shop search by nameFound

The same search, in the shop's language and its way of writing sizes.

  4. Sitemap

The shop's own list of product pages.

  5. Web search

A search scoped to the competitor's site.

  6. Price-comparison sites

Last, and only for a storefront nothing else could fill.

Regular, sale, loyalty-card and coupon prices are read separately, so a discount is a discount.

Read in each shop's own words

Attributes and sizes are searched in the storefront's language and notation. The market is read off the storefront itself.

How competitor price tracking works

From a product feed to a price you can act on, in four steps, most of them ours.

  1. 1

    Import your catalog

XML, CSV or JSON, from a URL or a file. You confirm the field mapping once; re-imports never delete.

  2. 2

    Add competitors

Paste a storefront's address. If another customer already watches it, you inherit how it is read.

  3. 3

    We find each page

Pinned page, shop search, sitemap, web search: tried in order, and only an exact match is kept.

  4. 4

    Watch the market move

Competitor prices and stock are re-read on your cadence, with full price history for every product and storefront.

Your catalog stays yours

Competitor prices are public facts and are shared. Your SKUs, your prices, your stock and your watch list are never visible to another customer.

Price history you can audit

Every reading is kept with the page it came from, failures included, so a strange number can be checked without scraping again.

Imports that never delete

A product that leaves your feed is marked, not removed, and keeps its price history.

Which plan do I need?

Price your catalog before you sign up

Products, storefronts, how often prices are read and how often pages are re-checked. Every plan's limits are checked, not only its credits.

250
3
How often prices are re-read

1 credit for each product on each storefront, every time. This is most of what a month costs.

How often found pages are re-checked (discovery)

5 credits a page. Re-searching catches a shop that moved a product to a new address. Pages that keep working need no re-check, so Off or Monthly suits most catalogs.

A plan fits when all four hold: enough credits for the month, and room for your products, storefronts and pairs. Enterprise 1 to 5 have no product, storefront or pair limit, and their credits follow the same 600 a euro, less one euro.

Every plan, every price

A round number of credits at 600 a euro, less one euro. Enterprise follows the same rule.

Competitor price monitoring, answered

What is competitor price monitoring?

Competitor price monitoring is the ongoing tracking of what other shops charge for the products you sell. competly.co finds each of your products on the storefronts you name, reads its price and stock on your schedule and keeps the history, so you can see where every product sits against the market.

How is this different from a price scraper?

A price scraper hands you raw pages, and you still maintain the selectors, the proxies and the product matching. competly.co is price monitoring software that does that work: it finds the right page, proves it is the same product and reads every price type on it. There is no scraper to build and nothing to maintain.

What is competitive pricing, and where does price intelligence fit?

Competitive pricing means setting your prices with the market in view rather than in isolation. Price intelligence is the data behind it: the lowest price for each product, your position against it and how both move over time. competly.co supplies that data; the pricing decision stays yours.

Which ecommerce stores can I monitor?

Public online stores in any market. Paste a storefront's address and we work out how to search it and read its prices; the market and currency are read off the storefront itself. If another customer already watches that shop, you inherit what the platform has learned about it.

How accurate is the product matching?

A competitor page is only kept when it is provably the same product: matched by barcode, your keywords or its exact name, and refused when the brand, size, count or a word you excluded says otherwise. We would rather leave a gap than show you the wrong product's price.

How often are competitor prices checked?

As often as you choose, from every 12 hours to once a week, on every plan. Each re-read costs one credit, and your usage page forecasts the month before you save a cadence.
